Woah. This game is good. Crazy good. Despite what the simple graphics indicate, the background story is somewhat captivating, with a notable emphasis on the morality of war. There's still small splices of humour sprinkled in which is always a treat. As for the game itself, I genuinely found myself experimenting with different placements of troops and figuring out which upgrade was ideal and which ones were not. The commander's dialogue is quite helpful too. This is the kind of strategy I've been craving in TD games for a while now. Not too complicated but still requires thinking. Unfortunately, there are some issues I had. Some of the contracts (win & lose first game) seem to not work properly, although the "Lose first game" was considered complete when I decided to restart after my death on the 2nd level. Besides that, the ninjas in the 1st level just sorta come out of nowhere, with the only subtle warning being hidden detection being mentioned in the description of the beginner tower. But because I don't know this game... well.. at all, I wouldn't have known to go for that upgrade the first time, which actually indirectly lead to my first failure lol. In all fairness, the player still gets awarded a few credits in a loss so it's not an absolute waste of time, and having a sense of mystery sometimes keeps the game interesting and unpredictable (in a good way). Still, I could see it annoying some people. Last complaint, no music? That is straight up criminal. Use royalty free audio if you can't make it or if you wanna be a dare devil, use your favourite artist's music :) Whatever floats your boat, but please avoid pure silence. In the beginning, I thought my audio stopped working. On the bright side, you did use some sound effects, but they are rather quiet. To be honest though, judging from one of your posts about this game, this is very high quality for an amateur game production. I was initially hooked by the trailer and the screenshots but my expectations were still blown out of the water. Fully animated cutscenes and an entire settings menu??? You are doing the Lord's work haha! It feels exactly like playing Tower Defense Simulator back when it was fresh.
Sorry if I went for too long lol. Keep up the good work and share this with everyone you know. This is a true example of undiscovered talent and skill.
Wow, thanks. I dont know what to say honestly. Its been a long time since ive worked on it. There are a ton of unreleased things you can check on the discord server if you want.
Im aware of all the issues but I stoped updating the game because of a 0 player count, and everyone just returning back to tds or tdx once I showed them the game. Trust me when I say, ive been marketing this game like crazy but all i kept getting were dislikes, with some very rare good apples. Most of the hate i got was because of the look of the game, that its not made in roblox, or because its to complicated/hard.
A forum post you made on Itch. You were asking how to get more players or something and I got curious because of some of the descriptions so I checked out the game page and eventually, the trailer. No joke, this is the best trailer for a solo dev project I've seen in ages. Most trailers are either terrible or beat around the bush too much. Yours showed gameplay from the get go and explained what was going on clearly, + I love TD games so I was convinced to play it. EDIT: You getting dislikes is better than getting no attention at all. It hurts a bit but use it to your advantage to make a better game that fits better with what most people want. In the future, maybe lean into the blocky style more to make some cartoony self-aware meme game? Just a suggestion.
Haven't played this yet but this looks rather interesting. I can definitely see the roblox tower defense influence but I'm shocked at how well you captured the classic lego-esque essence. I'll give this a try and comment how I feel soon enough.
Great game! Only managed to scratch the surface in this video and was still intrigued and going to continue playing it off camera. Has upgrades and a credit system for new towers, power-ups, and more! I just wish TD games were easier to put into recordings to cover more xD highly recommended and keep up the amazing work!!!
I tested the game since the first version was created. I can tell you, even if the version is demo, it's not short at all. You can try different play styles and have fun. You have to try the game yourself to understand me. This is only a fraction of what's coming next. It's going to be a big thing. And bugs are almost completely non-existent. I found them all while testing :).

Curious, where did you find the game?

10/10 game would reccommend, fat.
